Hello! Thanks for looking me up! If we are in QSO at this moment, I would like to thank you in advance for the contact. I absolutely love this hobby and after 30 years as a ham, it stillis very enjoyable! Below, is some information about me, and my station. Thanks for reading.

Member of the Jersey Devil Repeter Assoc. (145.390), and the Phil-Mont Radio club. Also a member of the 1.900 DX Group.

Currently, I have been working with the new "Allstar" system and my colleagues and I have installed several nodes in the surrounding Philadelphia, Bucks and South Jersey areas. As of January, 2012 we have coverage extending from Lower Bucks County down to Ocean City, NJ. You can connect to my node via Allstar: #28252.

My Favorite DX bands are 17, 15 & 12 meters. I am a heavy Dx-er and love looking for new countries and those rare stations. 15 meters has always been my favorite band to operate. I think that ham radio should be more than just exchanging rst reports and saying 73. In the winter months, 160 and 60 meters are my bands of choice in the evening. 60 meter DX on is usually in there every night. And that's where you'll find me!

My radio station consists of. A Yaesu FTDX-5000MP with a Heil PR-781 studio mic. A Kenwood TS-520SE (truely a "boat anchor") with an original Shure 444 mic. I've had this radio since passing my license in 1979.

My AM rig is a Yeasu FT-101E. This radio was stored for twenty years and was restored in 2012. I reciently completed the station with the Yo-100 Monitor and YD-844 Mic.

Tuner is a Palstar AT-1500DT and the amplifier is an Ameritron AL-811H. I use Signalink USB for digital work paired with HRD/Digital Master DM-780.

My HF antennas include: A 160 meter dipole. An OCF Windom in a flat top configuration @ 50 feet. A 60 meter dipole @ 45 feet. . . all home brew! Out in the trees is a Cushcraft Vertical.

Here are some pictures:

When I'm not on the air, my other hobbies include riding my Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. I take many trips on the bike and am usually on the back roads every weekend. I am also a brother of the leaf I am an advid cigar smoker and enjoy going to cigar crawls and Herfs.

If we've chatted on the air, thanks for the contact! I always love meeting other operators either on or off the air. My QSL information is good on eQSL, direct or bureau.

Hope to hear you out there! Best '73 to all ! Good DX!

Now get back on the air and make some more contacts! Keep those HF bands alive, or we may lose them forever!

You’ll have little trouble finding FM rigs to use; even a hand-held transceiver can make a fine Field Day rig. FM doesn’t have the range of CW or SSB, but it is the most popular communications mode on the VHF and UHF bands. You’ll find the greatest amount of FM simplex activity on the 2-meter band, although 6 meter FM may be worth a try as well. Remember that Field Day rules prohibit the use of repeaters. This means you’ll have to hunt for contacts on the recognized simplex frequencies. QSL INFO All QSL cards should be sent to: N4JTQ Rick Sawaya Sr. W4W Field Day Event 2005 Spence Mountain Loop Sevierville , TN 37876 You must send a SASE # 10 envelope with your QSL card, if no SASE you will not receive a QSL card back !! Donations are welcome to the club.. Again anyone is welcome to come and join us, bring your own equipment to operate. Also if you wish to just stop by and say hello that would be great, we will have some items to give out during this event !!
