Looking for simple cheap HF hand me downs. Lack of winning the big payday and my share of a quarter of a million dollars in medical billings makes buying anything a little rough in the near term. Not on the air much due to work commitments, with a very short commute. Usually only ragcrew with a couple of dozen hams I am tight with, but will occasionally see out new contacts. I prefer to talk about hobbies outside of ham radio. You will more than likely hear me on echolink than on RF. My brother Tim (N1RNX/sk) died in the line of duty as a member of the NH National Guard. His license has since expired and felt it was an honor to carry on the call sign Let those who had QSO's with Tim not forget him! Married over 27 years to my wife Debbie. Traveled to over a dozen countries, toured Europe by VW Camper, toured over 40 United Statesand a handfull of Canadienne Provinces by car. Have attended baseball games in dozens of stadiums. Avid amateur photographer. I have a total of two(2) CW QSO's in all my years and that was back in the early 1970's when I could do 13-20 words a minute. Usually do not contest except to help others get points. Extra Class Radio Amateur and first class radio commercial license. GMRS licensed. My main setup is commercial Yaesu capable of 40 watts out into a unity gain antenna at 16 feet, I am limited to roughly 15 watts within 20 meters (60 feet) of the transmit antenna due to 2 medical devices that are my constant partners. For 70cm I have a Motorola GP-300, which I am looking to reprogram, If you got the cable and program, help!. Old Yaesu Frog-7 for HF and a scrap heap radio for 10 meters.
